Grandma Peg Kirley’s Turkey Stuffing Recipe

 

½ cup butter

½ cup chopped onions

¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

1 cup chopped celery

2 tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

1 tsp poultry seasoning

8 cups bread crumbs

2 eggs beaten

1 cup chicken stock

2 cups Brazil nuts, chopped.  Optional but a Kirley tradition.

 

 

Sauté chopped onions, parsley & celery in melted butter until onions are softened.

Add salt, pepper and poultry seasoning.

 

Remove from heat and allow to cool down.

Stir in beaten eggs.

Stir in bread crumbs.

Pour stock over and toss to moisten entire mixture.
